Group Life insurance helps protect employees and their loved ones from financial hardships related to an untimely death. The City of Surprise provides a basic amount of Group Life and Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) Insurance through Standard Insurance Company to eligible employees who meet the active work requirement. The City of Surprise fully pays for this basic coverage. Eligible employees are automatically enrolled in the Basic Life and Basic AD&D Insurance as soon as they become eligible.
