2012 SNAP Recipients Announced!
Meet the 2012 SNAP recipients...
About the Program
Are you an outstanding neighborhood leader, or know someone that is? Know a young person that is doing his/her part to better the community? Would you like to spotlight the good works of your neighborhood? If the answer to any of these questions is yes, then you’ll want to take part in the city’s Surprise Neighborhood Award Program (SNAP).
The program recognizes neighborhoods, community leaders/ partners and young community activists who “SNAP” into action and make significant contributions to improve the city’s neighborhoods.
SNAP Awards will be presented annually to winners in five categories:
- Outstanding Neighborhood Leader
- Outstanding Neighborhood Partner
- Outstanding Neighborhood
- Outstanding Young Leader
- Outstanding Faith-based Partner
2012 SNAP award nominations were due to Neighborhood Services by June 30, 2012. Complete nomination details are available on the nomination form.
Award recipients will be selected based on relevancy of effort, impact, and longevity of contribution. Final decisions will be announced at a City Council Meeting, with the Mayor and/or Council presenting either plaques or neighborhood markers to award recipients. Award recipients will be announced on Channel 11 and the city website in the summer of 2012 time frame.
