The Community Development Department issues permits for any construction, which occurs on private property. Private citizens, commercial and residential developers, utility companies and contractors must obtain a permit to initiate any improvement project. Your Building Application Packet will include an application form, submittal requirements, fees, permit regulations and permit procedures.

Solar Power

Attn: Solar permit applicants
Effective September 1st, 2011 all applications for solar permits must include a system cost statement. Such statement must clearly demonstrate the complete cost of the system prior to any rebates and tax credits and shall include a cost breakdown of all major system components, installation materials, labor, and project management fees.

Permit applications submitted without a complete system cost statement will be rejected.
