Community Outreach
The Community Relations & Crime Prevention team manages a variety of community-oriented programs offered by the department. This section is tasked with supporting and creating partnerships with the residents of Surprise. Below are links to individual programs and services. Citizen Patrol
Members of the Surprise Citizen Patrol wear uniforms and operate patrol vehicles while performing a wide variety of valuable services.
e-Bikes & e-Scooters
The City of Surprise has a municipal code in place to regulate the areas of use for electric bikes (e-bikes) and scooters (e-scooters) to ensure the safety of all people who use the City's roads and sidewalks.
G.A.I.N night
Surprise Police and Fire-Medical Departments bring together family fun, community outreach and safety education all into one great event called G.A.I.N Night.
Motorcycle Safety Class
The Surprise Police Department is hosting a free, one-day interactive Motorcycle Safety class in partnership with the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety!

The Surprise Police Department offers programs that can help seniors keep from becoming victims of crime.

The Surprise Police Department offers Vacation Watches to Surprise residents who will be away for a minimum of two weeks.
