Home Buyer Assistance Program  
Image The City of Surprise currently has funding available for homebuyers interested in participating in the Homebuyer’s Assistance Program.

This program is funded by the Neighborhood Stabilization Program through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.

The program is offered on a first-come-first served basis and funding is limited. Interested parties are asked to call Jason Hughes at 623.222.3239 or email  for additional information.

  Emergency Housing Rehabilitation Program
The City of Surprise has received Community Development Block Grant funding to provide Emergency Housing Rehabilitation assistance to qualified homeowners.

The city is currently accepting applications from residents for this program.  Eligible repairs include plumbing, electrical, heating, cooling and accessibility items.

Projects are selected on a first come first-serve basis with special considerations given to those projects that address health and safety issues.

Major Rehabilitation Program

Residents may apply to be put on a waitlist for this program. Eligible repairs include major plumbing, electrical, heating, cooling and accessibility items.
